Bushcraft Courses

We have teamed up with key local field craft experts to develop a range of day bushcraft courses and survival courses that offer you the opportunity to learn new outdoor survival skills and enable you to have a unique and exhilarating experience learning from the land. These are ideal for family days or groups of friends to celebrate special events or just for fun! Bush Craft Skills Course (1 day)

This one day bushcraft course involves learning the basic skills necessary for survival, namely fire lighting without matches, building a woodland shelter using only natural materials, collecting, filtering and purifying your own water and cooking on a campfire.

Shelter Building Course (1 day)

After discovering the best places around the centre to build shelters, this survival course will teach you the skills required to source and collect the necessary materials for building your very own shelter. You will be shown different types of natural shelter building techniques and then move on to build your own waterproof shelter so you'll be warm, safe and dry.... beware the success of your shelter may be tested!

Campfire Experience Course (1 day)

This survival course will teach you where to find suitable kindling and dry wood and how to lay camp fires. After being shown fire lighting techniques you will learn how to light and maintain your own camp fire, and will then move on to preparing food for your very own camp meal. Finally you will cook your dinner and make hot drinks on the open fire and sit back and enjoy your handiwork!

Fence & Hurdle making (1 day)  

This course teaches you about the oldest form of fencing used in Britain. You will learn how to make long-lasting, natural hurdles which blend into the landscape and provide a focal point to any land or garden as well as providing a practical fencing solution.

Wood Craft Skills (1 day)

On this one day bushcraft course, you will learn how to source the right materials, prepare them for use & how to make a simple woven container. We will also show you the different types of wood used for various applications & you will have the chance to carve your own spoon, ladle or bowl.

Family Bushcraft Experience (1 day)

 A fun filled day for all the family designed to take you and your children back to basics and appreciate what nature has to offer. On this exciting bushcraft course, you will learn how to light a fire, build a shelter and cook dinner on your very own camp fire. Please click for more details of our family bushcraft course.
