Redstone Willows News
January 2012
A series of willow spheres created by Redstone Willows are to be installed at Trentham Gardens. The spheres are to be hung in the trees in an area being developed to add interest and encourage perception. Three large dragonflies created by us will also be installed to hover over the lake.
June 2011 - Roy Youdale at The Redstone Centre
We are very excited that Roy Youdale is coming to our centre to run a 5 day Willow Coffin Course on the 11th - 15th July.

June 2011- Family Fun Charity Cycle Ride Sunday 19th June 2011
On Sunday 19th June there will be a family fun charity cycle ride to promote the Connect2Cycleway and to raise funds for the Mayoral charities, including:
- McMillan Nurses
- The MS Society
- RMT Orphan Fund
- Railway Benevolent Fund
The 2 mile route is suitable for families and beginners and will start at the Christ Church Car Park in Crewe behind the Police Station at 12.00 and continue as follows:
Crewe Street 12:12 across Market Street roundabout into
Chester Street 12:13
Delamere Street 12:15
Over Flag Lane and onto cycle route and past Trevithick/Harrison Drive 12:20
Dunwoody Way onto road avoiding cycle route 12:22
Junction with West Street traffic lights 12:30
West Street 12:35
Merrills Bridge 12:39
West Street onto King George the Fifth Playing Fields 12:45
Join Connect2Cylcle Route 12:48
Arrive at Rising Sun Pub for jazz and a pint and a bouncy castle for thr kids! 13:10

October 2010 - New courses available now!
We now have an exciting new range of courses available including:
- Art courses
- Bushcraft courses
- New willow courses
To celebrate the launch of our new courses we had a fantastic open day on 23rd October, despite heavy rain! Our visitors were eager to learn about the new range of courses we now have on offer at our training centre in Alsager, Cheshire.
There was the opportunity to learn about shelter building, camp fire lighting and to see displays of our artists jewellery, willow craft and art.
We were even paid a visit by our local MP Fiona Bruce!

May 2010
We are now offering a new course for 2010 - 'Willow Craft in the Curriculum.' This relaxing willow weaving course has been designed especially for teachers and teaching assistants - giving teachers the skills needed to work with willow to make beautiful sculptures and crafts. We attended the Basketmakers Association Spring School from 11th -16th April, which took place in York. Tutors included Ronit Pan, Anna-Maria Vaatainen,John Galloway and Adrian Charlton. Below show a selection of willow baskets made by the students at the spring school.
